Oak Creek that runs through Oak Creek Canyon just north of Sedona is perhaps my favorite plein air painting place. This painting, however, was done in the studio using photos I took on a quick trip up to Sedona to deliver paintings to the gallery that represents my work. It just so happened that snow had fallen a couple days previously and was still on the ground. It was a brilliant day and the snow was likely gone by the next. I was so fortunate to be there during that short window of time!
